A deficiency of this vitamin is associated with, among other things, frequent headaches. Here's what to do and what foods to eat to eliminate headaches.

Migraines are a very common condition, lasting from a few to three days. Unfortunately, these types of headaches are among the least understood disorders, and are often underestimated or even treated incorrectly.

Migraine sufferers know how painful and annoying they are, as they can limit our daily activities, exponentially increasing sensitivity to light and sound, and causing nausea, fever, and extreme pain.

Migraines have various causes: excessive blood flow to the brain, a neurological disorder related to nerve cell activity, changes in the brain chemical serotonin, and deficiencies of certain nutrients.

Vitamins B6 and B12 have been shown to reduce migraines when taken for six months. According to the European Journal of Neurology, consuming high doses of vitamin B2 can also prevent migraine attacks.

A 2015 study by the American Headache Society showed that 42% of patients suffering from chronic migraines were vitamin D deficient.

Vitamin D is essential for our health: it helps the body absorb minerals like calcium and phosphorus, prevents osteoporosis, aids in the treatment of psoriasis, and can prevent cancer and hypertension.

One of the main sources of vitamin D is sunlight: just 10 minutes of exposure, three to five times a week, is enough.
Furthermore, foods like butter and eggs are rich in this vitamin.
