Pay attention to the color of the stove flame

The color of your stove flame is not just a visual detail in the kitchen – it says a lot about whether the appliance is working properly and whether the environment in which you cook is safe.

1. Blue flame – a sign of proper operation
A clean, bright blue flame indicates that the gas is properly mixed with air, so that the flame burns efficiently and cleanly. This is the ideal combustion state, during which the temperature ranges between 1500 and 1700 °C. If you see this color, your stove is probably working flawlessly.

2. Reddish or orange flame – a warning sign If the flame color is reddish or  orange, it indicates that the gas is getting more oxygen than it needs. As a result, combustion is less efficient and the temperature is lower (around 900–1200 °C), which also increases gas consumption.
