The NYPD precinct boss who allegedly told an underling he wanted to make “biracial babies” as he tried to rape her was fired, police confirmed Tuesday.
Inspector Jeremy Scheublin, 45, likely will be able to collect his pension despite the termination order so long as he’s not convicted on the felony attempted rape charge he faces in Bronx criminal court.
Bronx prosecutors last week unveiled an indictment against Scheublin after a woman under his command dramatically accused him of sexually assaulting her in his 46th Precinct office.
The woman — who first detailed the accusations in a bombshell lawsuit — alleged that Scheublin violently groped her during the January 2025 encounter, telling her, “I don’t know whether to kiss or choke you.”
He forced her onto an office couch, where he kissed her and creepily said, “I want to make biracial babies with you,” according to the suit.
The run-in ended after the woman kicked Scheublin in the groin, the complaint states.
The accusations led to an NYPD internal affairs probe that resulted in a referral to the Bronx District Attorney’s Office in 2025.
Scheublin pleaded not guilty to the eventual charges of attempted rape and first-degree sexual abuse. His attorney, Oliver Storch, has contended the accuser fabricated the story to score a big payday.
NYPD officials suspended Scheublin as July dawned, and then sacked him after he was indicted.
Storch said Scheublin “retired” from the department on June 24 after 24 years on the force.
“The NYPD subsequently ordered him to provide compelled testimony at a departmental proceeding , which he respectfully declined to do,” Storch said in a Tuesday statement.
“To be clear, the only charges Inspector Scheublin was found guilty of in the departmental proceeding was his refusal to answer questions when ordered to do so.”
Scheublin was hired by the NYPD in 2002, giving him more than the 20 years of service that makes him eligible for a full pension, records show
His termination fell under a state law allowing fired NYPD members with 20 or more years of service to collect their pension. The law, however, includes a provision that the pension be forfeited if those officers are convicted of a felony.
Scheublin is next scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 30, records show.
